Tyrant (T-002)

The Tyrant (T-002) was the second of the first two Tyrant models created in the founding days of Umbrella's Tyrant program, during the late 1980s to early 1990s. The T-002 was created at the Arklay Research Facility, some time following the failure of the Tyrant (T-001) - its predecessor. Like its earlier model, the T-002 was not the product of one of the many clones derived from Sergei Vladimir. Instead, the T-002 was created using one of the two compatible specimens that Umbrella had managed to obtain. At the time, the T-002 was considered to be the representation of the ultimate biological weapon.

Despite its advances in regards to the T-001, this model still possessed a number of its weaknesses. Its heart was still exposed, making it vulnerable to heavy firepower. However, it boasted impressive durability and battle capabilities, as well as enough intelligence to adhere to basic instructions. Other improvements over the T-001 included the ability to jump great distances, as well as being significantly faster in combat with an increased metabolism and healing ability.

While almost complete, there were still issues with the T-002's control mechanism which made combat data necessary for any improvements.

Like other Tyrant models, the T-002 was equipped with a power limiter that, once removed, would cause the Tyrant to undergo a mutation which would increase its overall power in battle.
